Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Assistance: Support nursing staff with patient transfers, mobility assistance, and positioning as needed.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status, concerns, and changes in condition to the nursing team and physicians.
- Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and organized.
- Documentation: Complete accurate and timely documentation of care plans and patient records.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient needs and participate in emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Colorado State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
