Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Accurately document patient histories and vital signs in EHR systems
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Perform phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing
- Manage inventory and sterilization of medical equipment
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in urgent care or ambulatory setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, NextGen)
- Exceptional patient communication and cultural sensitivity skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)
