Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and collect specimens accurately
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain sterile examination environments
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Schedule follow-up appointments and provide patient education materials
- Inventory and restock medical supplies to ensure clinic readiness
- Coordinate with lab services and pharmacies for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current NC Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-volume environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
