Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, vitals, and medical histories accurately.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
- Manage administrative duties including scheduling appointments, filing medical records, and processing insurance verification.
- Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Medical Assisting from an accredited institution.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and medical privacy standards.
