Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled professional to assist providers with patient care, manage clinical tasks, and maintain a welcoming clinic environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and document patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, and pulse.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as prescribed by providers.
- Manage patient intake, including verifying insurance information and updating electronic health records (EHR).
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service during busy weekend shifts.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred).
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or urgent care setting.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as scheduled.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance.
