Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature checks, ensuring accuracy and privacy.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with procedures, maintaining strict aseptic techniques.
- Manage patient records by updating Electronic Health Records (EHR) and medical charts promptly.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed physicians, strictly following safety protocols.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage incoming inquiries with professionalism.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment for staff and patients.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or ambulatory care setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is highly preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as necessary.
