Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and health screenings accurately and efficiently.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor medical interventions.
- Prepare exam rooms and medical equipment to ensure a sterile and welcoming environment.
- Manage patient intake, including updating electronic health records (EHR) and insurance verification.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers and per state regulations.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens for testing.
- Maintain inventory of clinical supplies and report shortages promptly.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent (RMA/MA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a primary care or urgent care environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment safely.
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) with occasional holidays.
