Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for weekend patient population
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining accurate documentation
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care teams to ensure seamless patient transitions throughout weekend shifts
- Respond to emergency situations with calm expertise and critical thinking skills
- Mentor junior nursing staff and participate in weekend-specific quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize advanced electronic health record systems for real-time patient data management
Qualifications
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license with no disciplinary actions
- BSN or higher degree from accredited nursing program
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in weekend shift environments
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic or comparable EHR systems
- Demonstrated experience with weekend-specific patient protocols
- Exceptional communication skills for weekend handoff procedures
