Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical/surgical units with weekend focus
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Document patient assessments and care plans accurately
- Monitor vital signs and respond to emergency situations
- Mentor junior nursing staff during weekend rotations
- Participate in weekend quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active GA RN license (or compact state eligible)
- BSN preferred, ADN with 2+ years experience
- BLS/ACLS certifications required
- 1+ years acute care weekend shift experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently during low-coverage periods
