Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned clinical areas (ER, ICU, Med-Surg)
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor vital signs and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams for treatment plans
- Educate patients/families on discharge protocols and self-care
- Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital safety protocols
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment interventions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- BSN degree required (ADN with 3+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- Weekend shift availability (Sat/Sun 7am-7pm)
- Electronic health record proficiency (Epic/Cerner)
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
