Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in emergency and acute care settings
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Monitor and document patient vitals, responses, and progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care plans
- Educate patients/families on health management and discharge plans
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety standards
- Respond to critical situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Active VA RN license with no disciplinary actions
- BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- 2+ years acute care or ER experience required
- Current BLS/ACLS certifications maintained
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Electronic health record proficiency (EPIC/Cerner)
- Ability to work flexible weekends/holidays
