Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision
- Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor surgical procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation and patient scheduling
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile clinical environments
- Administer injections and medications per provider protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate laboratory specimens and diagnostic testing
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Texas state MA registration or willingness to obtain immediately
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Exceptional communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, team-based environments
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, weekends)
