Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs with precision
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social outings safely
- Companionship services including engaging conversations and recreational activities
- Light housekeeping tasks and maintaining a safe, clean environment
- Document care plans and client progress accurately and timely
- Respond to emergencies following established protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience or equivalent certification
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Reliable transportation with valid DC driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and empathy for vulnerable populations
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with dementia care preferred
