Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft and Dentrix software platforms
- Deliver chairside support with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Implement infection control protocols for a safe clinical environment
- Train dental hygiene students on clinical procedures and patient communication
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) and intraoral cameras
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal date
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy regulations
- Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Excellent chairside manner and patient communication skills
