Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, endodontic, and oral surgery
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging systems
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Perform chairside assistance with suctioning, retraction, and material handling
- Execute infection control protocols and maintain sterile operatory environments
- Document patient records accurately in practice management software
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Dental Assistant certification (CDA)
- Active DANB radiology certification or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or dental practice management software
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR certification and ability to handle medical emergencies
- Valid Colorado driver's license and reliable transportation
