Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized clinic.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and intraoral images as directed by the dentist.
- Guide patients through the patient intake process and explain post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and dental charts in the electronic health record system.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventative care techniques.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant license (RDA) in the state of Texas.
- Certification in Radiology (X-ray) is required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending and lifting.
