Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and clinical areas for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments, including instrument handling and suction control
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilize equipment
- Manage inventory and restock dental supplies efficiently
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Update digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant certification (RDA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography techniques
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Experience with digital charting systems (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
