Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations and various dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms with instruments and materials before patient appointments.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiography) as directed by the dentist.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols (OSHA standards).
- Manage patient records, verify insurance information, and handle check-in/check-out efficiently.
- Assist with scheduling and front desk duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Dental Assisting.
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and BLS (CPR) certifications.
- State licensure as a Dental Assistant in Pennsylvania.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
