Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 95% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits coverage before service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and rejections through systematic follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing best practices
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EHR systems for documentation and coding
- Generate monthly accounts receivable reports for client review
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture completeness
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient or hospital settings
- Certification in CPC or CBCS strongly preferred
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
