- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for all services rendered
- Resolve billing denials and rejections within 48 hours
- Conduct regular audits of coding and documentation compliance
- Maintain patient account balances and payment tracking systems
- Collaborate with providers to clarify documentation for billing purposes
- Stay updated on CMS, Medicaid, and private payer policy changes
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinic/hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficient in Epic or NextGen EHR platforms
- Strong understanding of HIPAA and billing compliance regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for patient/provider interactions
- Ability to manage high-volume billing cycles efficiently
