Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process and transport specimens to laboratories following HIPAA protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and specimen documentation
- Ensure equipment calibration and sterile environment maintenance
- Provide patient education on blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Illinois Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- CPR certification (BLS) from accredited provider
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work in fast-paced healthcare environments
- Valid Illinois driver's license for specimen transport
