Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens according to laboratory protocols
- Maintain sterile environments and proper infection control measures
- Verify patient identification and prepare specimens for transport
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Assist with patient education and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in venipuncture
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal failed draws
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Valid CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
