Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient demographics
- Process specimens using CLIA-compliant protocols and maintain strict chain of custody
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain meticulous patient documentation
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment including centrifuges and analyzers
- Provide exceptional patient care with emphasis on comfort and anxiety reduction
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize specimen collection workflows
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or PBT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience in fast-paced environment
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Exceptional venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Ability to multitask in high-volume settings with precision
- Strong communication skills for diverse patient interactions
