Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Accurately prioritize patient cases based on medical urgency and acuity
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams to develop treatment plans
- Document patient encounters and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Provide clear patient education on home care, follow-up procedures, and red flag symptoms
- Manage patient flow and coordinate with ancillary departments for seamless care delivery
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance audits
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Ohio (compact license preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (TNCC preferred)
- Demonstrated proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
- Experience with telehealth triage platforms a plus
