Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments via phone and in-person to determine urgency and acuity
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop appropriate care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide clear instructions and education to patients regarding next steps
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
- Coordinate with emergency services when critical situations arise
- Assist in managing patient flow and wait times efficiently
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas
- Minimum 2 years of triage or emergency nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
