Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient triage levels using emergency nursing protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Collaborate with physicians to coordinate timely care interventions
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases promptly
- Provide education to patients regarding treatment plans and resources
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficient in EHR documentation systems
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- BSN preferred (ADN accepted with experience)
