Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care urgency using standardized protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans for emergency and non-emergency cases
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide compassionate patient education on treatment options and preventive care
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow
- Monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic results for clinical accuracy
- Lead crisis interventions for high-acuity patients requiring immediate attention
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana with minimum 2 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic/Meditech preferred)
- Exceptional triage decision-making skills under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays
- BSN degree or equivalent experience required
- Experience with telehealth triage protocols a plus
