Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive and accurate phone triage assessments for patients reporting acute symptoms or medical concerns.
- Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment to prioritize patient care and determine the appropriate level of medical intervention.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient management.
- Document patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide health education and guidance to patients and families to promote self-care and prevent readmissions.
- Manage high call volumes efficiently while maintaining a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor.
- Stay current with clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices in triage nursing.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or triage setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy and clarity.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends as required.
