Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech, societal shifts, and market disruptions to build 5-10 year strategic forecasts
- Develop and present innovation frameworks for quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotechnology convergence
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future insights into product roadmaps and R&D priorities
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs globally
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations at industry forums
- Design scenario-planning models to mitigate risks and identify first-mover opportunities
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate a forward-thinking culture across the organization
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and technology forecasting
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills with executive presentation experience
- Portfolio of published futurist research or innovation frameworks
- Certification in Futures Methodology (e.g., CFS) or equivalent
- Experience with horizon scanning tools and foresight methodologies
