Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify emerging technologies and socio-economic trends impacting 2026+ markets
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for board-level decision-making
- Lead cross-functional innovation workshops to translate foresight into actionable initiatives
- Author forward-looking thought leadership and industry whitepapers
- Establish KPIs for innovation pipeline and track progress against 2026 milestones
- Mentor junior strategists in futures methodologies and critical thinking
- Build external partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futures research
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Strong understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futures/innovation publications
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., AC/FS, APF) preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ long-term strategic frameworks implemented
