Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026 strategic foresight framework using horizon scanning, scenario modeling, and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify and validate emerging opportunities/threats in AI, biotech, climate tech, and next-gen human-computer interaction
- Produce quarterly 'Future State' reports with actionable recommendations for executive decision-making
- Design and implement innovation pipelines aligned with projected 2026 market shifts and regulatory landscapes
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, think tanks, and technology incubators
- Quantify future market potential through predictive analytics and competitive scenario modeling
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate a future-oriented culture across the organization
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 or high-growth tech
- Proven expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and technology forecasting methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI) and their socioeconomic implications
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex futures into compelling narratives
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategy publications
- Experience with foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, cross-impact matrices, causal layered analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-strategy implementation in commercial settings
