Responsibilities
- Provide Personal Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance.
- Monitor Health Status: Observe and report changes in patient conditions, vital signs, and behavior to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Daily Tasks: Help patients with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping as assigned.
- Document Care: Accurately record patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient status in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients at all times.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active North Carolina CNA license required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and transfer patients, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks.
- Compassion: Genuine desire to help others and improve their quality of life.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and holidays.
