Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with light administration as directed.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversations and recreational activities.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning to ensure a safe living environment.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in the client's physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse or family.
- Documentation: Accurately maintain daily logs and care plans regarding the client's condition and services provided.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid CNA, CMA, or HHA license in the state of Louisiana.
- Experience: Previous experience as a caregiver, nursing assistant, or in a related healthcare field is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping elderly or disabled individuals maintain their independence.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as required by the job duties.
