Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility, transferring, and walking using proper techniques.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to reduce loneliness.
- Monitor and report any changes in physical or mental health to the supervising nurse.
- Administer medication as prescribed by a physician and document accurately.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) is highly preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
