Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take prescribed medications at the scheduled times and report any side effects or missed doses.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals that meet the client's dietary needs and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, read to clients, play games, and provide emotional support to reduce loneliness.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients move around the home safely, including transferring from bed to chair or walking with assistance.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in caregiving, elderly care, or medical assisting is a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to listen actively to patient needs.
- Reliability: Must be dependable, punctual, and able to pass a background check and drug screening.
