Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, to ensure the highest level of comfort and dignity for clients.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition and dietary requirements are met.
- Administer medication reminders and document vital signs accurately as per care plans.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversation and activities to reduce isolation.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Transport clients to and from medical appointments and social activities as needed.
- Monitor client health and report any changes in condition or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina CNA or PCA license (or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days).
- Previous experience in home health, hospice, or long-term care is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for clients requiring travel).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and assist clients as needed.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
