Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help clients with mobility, transfers, and using mobility aids safely.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Provide medication reminders and monitor health status.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry and cleaning.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation.
- Document daily care activities and report any changes in condition to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred but not always required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
