Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Offer medication reminders and monitor clients for any changes in health or mood.
- Build meaningful companionship by engaging in conversation, reading, or accompanying clients to appointments and social events.
- Perform light errands such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions.
- Document daily care activities accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) and report any concerns to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace for both yourself and the client.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide certification is a plus but not required for immediate consideration.
- Valid driverβs license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and families.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- A compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
- Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients as needed (up to 50 lbs).
