Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Offer medication reminders and monitor clients for any changes in health or mood.
  • Build meaningful companionship by engaging in conversation, reading, or accompanying clients to appointments and social events.
  • Perform light errands such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions.
  • Document daily care activities accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) and report any concerns to the supervising nurse.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace for both yourself and the client.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide certification is a plus but not required for immediate consideration.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and families.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • A compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
  • Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients as needed (up to 50 lbs).
