Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding clients who require special dietary needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
- Medication reminders and monitoring of daily health changes to report to the supervisor.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties as requested to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with mobility using wheelchairs or walkers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience in caregiving, nursing assistance, or home health is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate demeanor.
