Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Companionship: Provide meaningful social interaction and companionship to reduce isolation and improve quality of life.
- Health Monitoring: Monitor client health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the Care Manager immediately.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to special dietary requirements and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients, including laundry and light tidying.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and run essential errands.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Certification: Current CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- Character: Must possess a valid background check, drug screen, and TB test.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Attitude: Genuine compassion, patience, and a positive attitude toward the elderly population.
