Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide personal care and companionship to seniors and individuals with disabilities to prevent isolation.
- Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight, and report any abnormalities to the nursing supervisor.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social events, and recreational activities.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and established care plans.
- Document daily care activities and any changes in client behavior or condition accurately in the care logs.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred.
- Current state licensure and valid CPR/First Aid certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods while assisting clients.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
