Job Summary

The Triage Nurse is responsible for assessing patient symptoms via phone and determining the appropriate level of care. This role requires the ability to remain calm under pressure, think critically, and communicate effectively with patients and providers alike.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Utilize clinical protocols to evaluate patient symptoms via telephone, determining the urgency of medical needs and advising on self-care or immediate medical attention.
  • Ensure Patient Safety: Implement critical thinking skills to recognize red flags and escalate life-threatening situations to emergency services or providers immediately.
