Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide mobility assistance and transfer support using proper techniques to ensure client safety.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
- Administer medication reminders and document daily logs accurately.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Offer emotional support, companionship, and engage clients in social activities.
- Monitor client health status and report any changes or concerns to the care coordinator immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
