Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to ensure a high quality of life.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities.
- Administer medication as directed by the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Current CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide certification is a plus but not always required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
