Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Management: Provide reminders for medications and monitor clients for any adverse reactions or changes in health status.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, client-appropriate meals that cater to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship & Socialization: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and recreational activities to combat loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Transportation Support: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, or errands as needed, ensuring safe travel.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry, and changing linens.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Must hold a valid California driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred but we will consider experienced candidates.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; physical ability to assist with transfers and mobility.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- CPR/First Aid: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly desirable.
