Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Medication Management: Monitor and remind clients to take prescribed medications on time; document administration accurately.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious, age-appropriate meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support through conversation, games, and shared activities to reduce loneliness.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a safe and clean living environment by assisting with laundry, light cleaning, and changing linens.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, social events, and errands.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily logs of client activities and health status.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNA, PCA, Home Health Aide, or in a similar caregiving role is preferred.
- Certifications: Must possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen actively.
- License: Valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, trustworthy, and dependable.
- Flexibility: Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
