Responsibilities
- Personal Care & Hygiene: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, with dignity and respect.
- Medication Monitoring: Promptly administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions, reporting any health changes to supervisors immediately.
- Equipment Support: Utilize the mobility equipment provided by the agency to safely assist clients with transfers, walking, and navigating their home environment.
- Companionship: Foster emotional well-being through engaging conversation, recreational activities, and active listening.
- Nutritional Support: Prepare and serve nutritious meals that adhere to specific dietary restrictions and health plans.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living space for your clients, including laundry and light cleaning.
- Transportation: Provide reliable transportation to medical appointments, social events, and errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Current certification (BLS) is required or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant, Home Health Aide, or CNA is highly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document care notes accurately.
- Empathy & Patience: A genuine, patient, and compassionate demeanor when working with the elderly or disabled.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work independently.
