Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, and provide emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Meal Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning duties such as laundry, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take prescribed medications at the scheduled times.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, social events, and grocery shopping as needed.
- Observation: Monitor client health and promptly report any changes in condition or concerns to the office.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide is preferred but not always required.
- License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Certification: Current CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine, patient, and caring personality with a desire to help others.
- Reliability: Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
