Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care plans, progress notes, and daily logs accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and assist with patient lifting.
