Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary restrictions.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor client health for any changes.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to combat loneliness.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social events, and shopping trips.
- Document daily care logs and report any concerns to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or PCA (Personal Care Assistant) certification is a plus but not always required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Must demonstrate patience, empathy, and a professional demeanor.
